Re-cycling & Zero Waste
At The Flower Bank we are really passionate about zero waste and re-cycling and with this in mind we wanted to benchmark how we were doing. We were delighted to work with a group of very talented students from Middlesex University who measured our impact and reported that as of May 2019 we currently recycle 58% of the flowers we receive.
We know we can and we will do better
Flowers from Retailers
Working closely with retailers to reduce waste in the flower industry. We use those flowers to carry out workshops in residential care homes and to teach young offenders new skills.
Event Flowers
We re-style and upcycle flowers from event organisers, brides, florists and corporate businesses We use those flowers to enhance and change lives.
Planters & Pots
Have you recently upgraded your planters or garden pots? Would you like to find a new home for your old ones? We can put them to a good use.
Garden Tools
Do you have any unwanted garden tools that could be used in our cutting garden? We would really appreciate them, thank you.
Unwanted Plants
Moving house and need a new home for some of your plants? Or maybe you have a glut of plants that you'd be happy to share?
Seeds
We are looking to start a seed bank, so if you have seeds to share please do get in touch so we can get London blooming.
